A meta-analysis of 20 studies was conducted to assess the effectiveness of CBT in reducing anxiety symptoms. Results indicated a significant reduction in anxiety symptoms among participants who received CBT compared to control groups. The analysis also revealed that the duration of CBT sessions and the presence of a qualified therapist were important factors in determining the success of the therapy. These findings have important implications for the treatment of anxiety disorders and highlight the need for further research in this area.

Abstract:

This meta-analysis study examines the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in treating anxiety disorders. A total of 20 studies were included in the analysis, focusing on the impact of CBT on anxiety symptoms. The results revealed a significant reduction in anxiety symptoms among individuals who underwent CBT compared to control groups. Furthermore, the duration of CBT sessions and the expertise of the therapist were identified as key factors influencing the outcomes of the therapy. These findings underscore the importance of CBT as an effective treatment for anxiety disorders and emphasize the crucial role of therapist qualifications in achieving positive results.

Referencias:

– Hofmann, S.
